How to Migrate your Data

Once you are ready to migrate your data from your MySchoolAnywhere account into your Membership Toolkit account, you will need to access the Migration Worksheet.
 
  1. Go to your Membership Toolkit Dashboard.
  2. Click on the Admin tab in the top right corner.
  3. Select MySchoolAnywhere Migration.
  4. Complete the worksheet.
  5. Click the "submit and confirm" button.
  6. Confirm your settings.
  7. Click the "schedule" button.

The worksheet takes about 2 minutes to complete and the migration is typically complete in less than two hours. If you have any questions or need assistance, click on the Help icon on your Dashboard.



When to Migrate Your Data

Perform the Migration On - We recommend that you migrate your data after your last day of school and before you launch sales, volunteer signups, registration for the next school year.
 
  1. You can run the Year End Promotion in either your MSA or Membership Toolkit account. 
  2. Once you migrate your data, you and your parents will still have access to your MSA account but you will not be able to make any changes within the account. 
 
Redirect Users to Membership Toolkit On - This will be the date when your parents can no longer access your MSA account.
  1. Most likely this will NOT be set as the same date you perform the migration. You will probably want some time to get your Membership Toolkit site cleaned up and ready before you send parents there.
  2. This date should be set before September 30th.
  3. When parents try to go to the portal or to your MSA site through the mobile app, they will be redirected to your Membership Toolkit account.


Confirm and Schedule Migration

Very Important! After you "submit and confirm" you MUST review your Migration Details and use the SCHEDULE button at the bottom of the page. If you skip this step, your migration will NOT be complete.




*If you need to unschedule your migration before it begins, there is an UNSCHEDULE button.

Review and Track Migration

Once you have scheduled your migration, you can check the status and find out when it is complete.
  1. Go to Dashboard / Admin / MySchoolAnywhere Migration.
