Adding a Video to a Newsletter
Most email clients will not support an embedded video in an email. A way to get around this is to create an image that represents the video. You can insert the image into your newsletter and then link the image to your video. You will need to have the video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo or another hosting service.
- Upload your video to a hosting site on the web.
- Copy the URL.
- Go to the newsletter page where you want to insert the video. (Communications / Newsletters / Draft Newsletters)
- Choose where you want the video to go on the page, then click the "insert/edit image" button on the content editor toolbar.
- Choose the picture you want to use to represent the video.
- Once your picture has been inserted, select the picture, then click the "insert/edit link" button on the content editor toolbar.
- Paste the video URL into the "URL" field and click "Ok."
- You can test the link by saving and closing the newsletter, then sending a test copy to yourself.
