FAQ - How Do I Assign Students to a Classroom Teacher?

Administrators have the option to edit a group of student records all at one time. Before you can update which students are in which class, you will need to update the information in your custom field for Classroom Teacher.

(In Membership Toolkit, classroom teachers are a custom field in your contact database. How to update your list of classroom teachers.)

To do a mass update to update your student's classroom assignment:

• Go to People / Students.
  
• Filter the list by the grade that you are updating. For example, select all of the students that are in Kindergarten.
  
• Choose which students are in Class A
  
• Click the "Update Checked" button.
  
• Change the field for Classroom Teacher
  
• Click the "Update" button.
  

NOTE:  If you still have data in the teacher field that is from last year, before you start updating classroom teachers, it would be a good idea to select all students and then do a mass update to clear this field.
