FAQ - How can you list a teacher who teaches more than one grade?

The "grade" field for the Faculty List is pulled in automatically from the grade choices set up under People > Configuration > Student Form. If you have teachers who teach combined grade level classes, but still need to display students in their respective grade levels, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Go to People > Configuration > Faculty Module.
  2. Create a new custom field for "Grade" and choose a Field Label that is slightly different than your Student Grade Field. For example, "Grade(s)". Also, make note of the Field Name you choose. It should be something other than grade.
  3. Make it a Select Box and add your new Options for grades.

To display these options on the Student Form for selecting a student's teacher
  1. Go to People > Configuration > Custom Fields.
  2. Select "edit" for the Faculty List "type" field.
  3. On the Presentation tab, use a Custom Data Format and add in the new field name (noted from other) as one of the macros.

To display the new options on the published Faculty List Page:
  1. Go to Website > Faculty Pages > select the page.
  2. On the Content tab, scroll down and "uncheck" the box for the student/system Grade field and "check" the box for your newly created Grade(s) field.
  3. Adjust your groupings and filters as needed.
