Publishing the Faculty List

Publishing the Faculty List

There are three places where you can publish the Faculty List generated from the Faculty Module:
  1. the Website
  2. the Directory
  3. the Mobile App
The Faculty Content Page must be available on your website before you can publish it in the directory or mobile app.

Publishing the Faculty List on your Website

The Faculty Page is set up like a regular Content Page on your website.
  1. Go to Website > Faculty Pages > add new faculty page.
  2. Configure the basic settings for the page.
  3. Include Which Types? - Select which faculty types to include in the published list.
  4. Include Which Fields? - Select which faculty custom fields to display in the published faculty list. Click and drag to reorder them.
  5. Primary & Secondary Grouping - Select how you want the published faculty list to be sorted.
  6. Allow Filters? - Select which options you want to offer for users to filter the published faculty list.
  7. On the Visibility & Settings tab, be sure to select your page template type and which users you want the page to be available to.

Once your page has been created you will need to decide where you want to display it on your website. You could add a new menu entry to your main navigation or add a text link or a button to your home page. (We have created some Faculty List buttons on our Resources page that you can download and use.)

Tip: Be sure to set your link to Open in a New Window so users can easily get back to your website.

Publishing the Faculty List in the Online Directory

The Faculty Content Page must be available on your website before you can publish it in the directory. Then, we recommend you add a link to the Faculty Content Page in the Preamble of your directory.
  1. Go to People > Configuration > Directory.
  2. In the Directory Preamble field, add text or a button and then link it to the Faculty Content Page. (We have created some Faculty List buttons on our Resources page that you can download and use.)
Tip: Be sure to set your link to Open in a New Window so users can easily get back to your website

Publishing the Faculty List in the Mobile App

The Faculty Content Page must be available on your website before you can publish it in the mobile app. Then, there are a couple of options for publishing within the app.

1. Add a new menu entry to your navigation. You can enable it only for the app or add it to your App Only Menu if you have one. For the "Destination" of the entry you will use the drop down to select from your Faculty Pages.

2. Add a text link or a button to the Welcome screen of the mobile app. (We have created some Faculty List buttons on our Resources page that you can download and use.)
Tip: Be sure to set your link to Open in a New Window so users can easily get back to your website
