Website Redirects

Website Redirects

A URL redirection is a forwarding technique that is used to redirect your visitors to the correct website page. When a web page is visited at a certain URL, it then changes to a different URL. For instance, a person visits “website.com/page-abc” in their browser and they are automatically redirected to “website.com/page-xyz” instead.

This feature can be used within Membership Toolkit to add redirects for inbound URLs to map "old" URLs from previous hosts to their new content, or make convenience links for different entry points to the same URL.

  • Go to Website > Redirects > add new redirect.
  • Enter the Slug from "old" URL. (The slug is the portion of the URL after the domain name that is incorrect - such as page-abc in the example above.)
  • Enter the new URL using the drop down menu. You can choose between an existing page on your website, a file, or an outside specific URL.
