Removing a Communication List

Archiving a Communication List


When you are no longer sending newsletters to a particular list of people, you can Archive that Communication List.
  1. Go to Communications / Communication Lists.
  2. Select the List.
  3. Change the List Status to Archived.



Important Note:  Once you Archive a Newsletter List, all of the newsletters that were previously sent out using that list will no longer be available!


If you'd like those newsletters that are part of an Archived List to still be available to your users:
  1. Go to your Newsletter Archive page on your website (.../newsletters).
  2. Copy the URL for that page.  It should look something like this:  https://ptaschooldemo.membershiptoolkit.com/newsletters/109.
  3. Go to Communications / Newsletters / Newsletter Configuration.
  4. Paste the URL link into the Newsletter List Preamble.
  5. The Newsletter List Preamble presents at the top of the Newsletter Archive page.







Deleting a Communications List


To delete a Communication List:
  1. Go to Communications / Communication Lists.
  2. Select the List you want to delete.
  3. Click the red "delete" button in the bottom right corner. 

If a parent has unsubscribed from your newsletters sent from the list you delete, and you make a new subscription list that includes them, the parent's "unsubscribed" status will not be transferred to the new list.
