By including an anchor tag within your newsletter page, you can place links in the newsletter that when clicked allow the reader to jump to another location on the page.
- Anchors are generally used when you create pages with large amounts of text. You will make an index at the top of the page that links to the anchors in the text below.
- Linking to anchors is very similar to normal links., but normal links always point to the top of a new page whereas anchors point to a place within the current page.
Many email clients do not support anchors in email or newsletters, and in general, anchor links to not work in mobile email clients. The email client removes the links so they do not work. Instead of using anchor links, consider:
- linking to your website for people to read more
- linking to PDF files or Word Documents that contain more information about your topic

- Create the anchor itself.

The Anchor Icon is located in the editor (looks like a bookmark, just to the right of the URL link button).
